Dan and his family call Grinnell, Iowa home. His spouse, Sara, is director of bands at BGM School District in Brooklyn, a music therapist-in-training, and a sixth-generation Iowan. Together, they have three children. Each winter, the family builds a backyard skating rink. When they’re not on the ice, you’ll likely find them making music.

Active in the community, he is an active member of First Presbyterian Church, Fortnightly Club, and Cedar Rapids Roughriders Youth Hockey. He’s a regular participant in music ensembles as a vocalist, guitarist, and cellist and is a registered coach and official with USA Hockey. Dan also helped build the disc golf course in Grinnell.

Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Dan brings a diverse background and a passion for helping others protect what matters most. He holds degrees from Hope College and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Before opening his agency, he built a career in digital marketing, community engagement, and fundraising.
